Gardeners of the Grove Third Annual Photo Contest—2011-2012
“World of Wonder – Nature in Focus”
Categories:
Family Tree – photos of trees in any season Tapestry of Foliage – Plant foliage, i.e.fall colored leaves, succulents, grasses, ferns Garden Structures – i.e. fences, gates, statues, pergolas in a garden setting Red Tape – Plant material - red in color Edible Landscaping – fruits and vegetables from/in the garden Critters in the Garden – pets or other creatures photographed in a garden Still Life – photos of plants/bouquets inside the home Out of the Box – Garden related creative point of view–i.e. rusty tool, seed packets
Rules: 1. Photos to be taken by Gardeners of the Grove club members only. 2. Photos should be taken anytime between July 1, 2011 and June 15, 2012. 3. Each member may submit as many as 10 photos with no more than 2 in any one category. 4. Photos are to be submitted in 8X10 prints in a manila envelope with member’s name on envelope ONLY. 5. On back of each photo designate category and information about the photo i.e. Where, what, when etc. No names, please! 6. Judges, from outside the club, will judge on how well photos fit the category, composition, creativity, technical quality and overall impression. 7. The winning photos would be announced and displayed at the June 2012 general meeting along with all the submitted entries. Entry deadline June 15, 2012
