In the 6 years that Marge Hanson has had
her house, she’s turned her un-landscaped back yard into an
inviting garden full
of color just about year around. She
accomplished this pretty much by herself with a little help from
a couple of teen-age
grandchildren willing to work for some
spending money. Her love of rocks and stones and her habit of
mulching,
mulching, mulching plus good research
before buying a plant has created a wonderful garden complete
with lemons.
olallie berries and raspberries. Her
favorite Iris and Clematis are thriving and will be joined by
Asters, Roses, Phlox and
other colorful flowers as the season
continues. Marge grew up on a farm with grandparents who loved
to grow flowers so
it’s clear where her love for flowers came
from. Her Grandparents would be proud of the garden she has
